This Privacy Policy is issued by Powers Digital Solutions, operator of Dialed. It forms part of the Dialed Terms & Conditions, and where the two differ in detail, this Policy governs.
1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is issued by Powers Digital Solutions, operator of the Dialed platform (“Dialed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a pickleball training application available through web interfaces, operating from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. This Policy describes how Dialed collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the Dialed application and any related services, features, content, or websites (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must discontinue use of the Service.
This Policy applies to all Users who interact with Dialed, including subscribers and coaches, as well as individuals who use the Service without creating an account by completing a free assessment.
Dialed reserves the right to amend this Policy; the procedure for material amendments is described in Section 14.
Questions regarding this Policy may be directed to info@powersdigitalsolutions.com.
2. Information We Collect
Dialed collects personal information only to the extent necessary to provide and improve the Service and to comply with applicable legal requirements.
2.1 Information You Provide
- Name — as given at registration or updated in your account.
- Email address — your account identifier and how we reach you about your account and subscription.
- Account access — Dialed has no passwords. Access is by single-use sign-in link, managed through our authentication provider, Supabase (Section 6.2).
- The club you play at, if you name one, and any coach you link your account to (Section 5).
2.2 Assessment and Progress Data
- Assessment answers — your responses to the diagnostic questions, including the symptom you described in your own words.
- Placement level — beginner, intermediate or advanced, from the placement questions.
- Progress — the library items you have marked working on or Dialed In, your weekly email answers, badges earned, and your activity streak.
2.3 Assessments Taken Without an Account
The free assessment may be completed without an account. When it is:
- No name and no email address are collected. We do not ask for them and there is no field for them.
- The responses are stored as an individual record, not merged into an aggregate. That record holds the answers, the resulting diagnosis, the club or coach named if any, and a random identifier generated in your browser (see Section 11) which lets us tell one person retaking the assessment from several different people taking it once.
- The record contains nothing that identifies you by name, address or account.
If you later subscribe, the assessment you took is attached to your new account, so the diagnosis you were given carries over into the app. This happens as part of checkout, because the assessment result is the thing you are subscribing to act on. If you do not subscribe, the record stays unidentified.
2.4 Automatically Collected Data
When you use the Service, our infrastructure providers record standard technical information necessary to operate and secure it: IP address, access timestamps, request paths and error logs, held in server logs by Supabase and by our hosting provider.
Dialed itself runs no analytics product, no advertising technology, and no cross-site tracking.
2.5 Payment Information
Dialed is offered as a recurring subscription; pricing is shown at checkout. All payments are processed by Stripe (Section 6.1).
Dialed does not collect, store, process, or have access to payment card numbers, security codes, or bank account numbers. Those are collected directly by Stripe. Dialed retains only subscription status, billing dates, and Stripe's own customer and subscription identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Account and subscription — to create and maintain your account, sign you in, and manage billing.
- Service delivery — to run the assessment, determine your placement, present the library and your Fix card, track what you mark, and send the weekly email.
- Clubs and coaches — to produce the aggregate club summary and to operate coach links, both as described in Section 5.
- Service messages — sign-in links, receipts, renewal notices, and material changes to our policies.
- Improving the Service — to understand, in aggregate, which content is used and where the assessment is unclear.
- Security — to detect and investigate unauthorized access and protect the Service and its users.
- Legal compliance and disputes — to meet record-keeping obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We will not use your personal information for a materially different purpose without notice and, where required, your consent.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
| Processing activity | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Account creation and management | Performance of a contract |
| Assessment, placement, progress tracking | Performance of a contract |
| Payment processing via Stripe | Performance of a contract; legal obligation (financial records) |
| Naming a club, and the aggregate summary it receives | Consent, given by naming the club; withdrawable at any time |
| Linking a coach, and what that coach then sees | Consent, given by entering the coach's code; withdrawable at any time |
| Service emails via Resend | Performance of a contract |
| Weekly coaching email | Consent, with a one-click unsubscribe in every message |
| Security monitoring | Legitimate interests |
| Legal compliance and retention | Legal obligation |
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. Clubs and Coaches
You may name the club you play at, and you may link your account to a coach. These are separate and they work differently. Neither is required to use Dialed.
5.1 Your club — counts only, never a person
If you name a club, that club receives a monthly summary of what its members are working on.
The summary contains counts and nothing else. For example: how many players at a given level are working on a particular shot. It does not contain your name, your email address, your assessment answers, your coach, your notes, or anything else that identifies you.
Two further limits apply, inside the system that produces the summary rather than as a matter of editorial choice:
- a summary is produced only for a club with at least five Dialed members;
- any group of fewer than three members is withheld rather than counted.
A club has no login and no access to Dialed. It receives an email. There is no dashboard, no member list, and no mechanism by which a club could look you up.
You may change or remove your club at any time in Manage account, or choose not to name one.
5.2 Your coach — a link you make, and they accept
Linking a coach requires a code the coach gives you. You enter the code, and the coach must accept the link before anything is shared.
Once linked, that coach can see: the sessions you have had with them and whether you attended; the notes that coach has chosen to share with you and any homework they set; what you have marked working on and how much you have marked Dialed In; your placement level and current focus; the words you used to describe your game in the assessment; and your activity streak.
You may also choose, separately for each coach, to let one coach see your work with another. This is off by default. What crosses is your own view of that work — not the other coach's private notes and not any rating they have given you.
You may unlink a coach at any time in your account. Unlinking stops further access. It does not retrieve what was already shared, and the coach keeps their own record of sessions that actually happened.
Cancelling your subscription has the same effect. While your subscription is not active, a linked coach can no longer see any of the information listed above. What the coach keeps is their own work — the sessions they logged, the notes they wrote and any rating they gave — which is their record of lessons they taught rather than information about you that we hold for them. If you subscribe again, the link resumes.
Cancelling is not deletion. Your own information is retained as set out in Section 7, so that your progress is still there if you return. Deletion is a separate request, described in Section 9.
5.3 What is never shared
Your payment information is never shared with a club or a coach, and neither a club nor a coach can see your email address through Dialed.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
Dialed uses three providers. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
6.1 Stripe — payments
Payment card details are collected directly by Stripe through its own interface and are never transmitted to or stored by Dialed. Stripe maintains PCI-DSS compliance. Dialed receives only transactional metadata: subscription identifiers, billing status, and Stripe customer identifiers. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
6.2 Supabase — database and authentication
Supabase hosts the database holding account information, assessment data, placement and progress, and provides the sign-in-link authentication. Access is controlled by row-level security policies configured by Dialed, so each account can reach its own data and no one else's. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Supabase acts as a processor on Dialed's behalf. Supabase's privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
6.3 Resend — email delivery
Dialed transmits your email address to Resend in order to deliver messages. Messages sent through Resend include sign-in links, subscription and billing notices, the optional weekly coaching email, and material policy updates. Resend acts solely as a processor and does not use your address for its own purposes. Resend's privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
6.4 Video hosting
Library videos are embedded from YouTube and Vimeo. YouTube embeds use the youtube-nocookie.com domain. Playing an embedded video causes your browser to contact that provider directly, and that provider may set its own storage; this is governed by their policies, not ours.
7. Data Retention
| Data | Retained |
|---|---|
| Account data of active subscribers | For the life of the account |
| Account data after you delete your account | Purged within ninety (90) days |
| Account data after you cancel a subscription | Kept, so you can return and find your progress as you left it. Cancelling is not deleting — ask us to delete and we will |
| Assessments taken without an account | Retained while they remain unidentified; purged on request where we can locate them |
| Billing records | As required by tax and accounting rules |
| Server logs | A limited period consistent with operational and security needs |
We may retain information beyond these periods where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Data Security
Dialed protects personal information with the following measures:
- Encryption in transit — all traffic between you and Dialed uses TLS.
- Encryption at rest — data held in Supabase-managed infrastructure is encrypted at rest.
- No passwords — Dialed stores no passwords, because it has none. Access is by single-use sign-in link, so there is no password database to lose.
- No card data — Dialed holds no payment card numbers; Stripe does.
- Row-level security — access is enforced in the database itself rather than only in the application, so each account can read its own rows and no others. These policies are tested against the live schema as part of every change.
- Least access — personal information is reachable only by those who need it to run the Service.
8.1 Breach notification
If Dialed becomes aware of a security incident that has resulted in, or is reasonably likely to result in, unauthorized access to or disclosure of personal information, Dialed will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as soon as practicable and without unreasonable delay, in accordance with the Massachusetts Data Breach Notification Law (M.G.L. c. 93H) and any other applicable statute. The notification will describe the nature of the incident, the information affected, and the steps taken.
No system is impenetrable and Dialed cannot guarantee absolute security. Tell us immediately at info@powersdigitalsolutions.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 Everyone
- Access — request confirmation of what we hold about you and a copy of it.
- Correction — ask us to correct anything inaccurate; you can edit your name and club yourself in Manage account.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law. Deleting ends your subscription.
- Portability — request a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt out of the weekly email — one click in any weekly message, or ask us. It does not affect your subscription.
- Withdraw consent — remove your club, or unlink a coach, at any time in your account.
9.2 California residents
California residents have the rights described in Section 13.4, including the right to know, delete and correct. Dialed does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9.3 How to exercise your rights
Email info@powersdigitalsolutions.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, including your name and the email address on your account so we can find your records.
We will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days and respond within thirty (30) calendar days. If we need longer because the request is complex, we will tell you in writing; the total will not exceed sixty (60) days. If we decline a request in whole or in part, we will explain why.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
Dialed is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and you confirm this at checkout.
Dialed is not directed to children, contains nothing designed to attract them, and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 — including, for the purposes of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), anyone under 13.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close the account, cancel and refund the subscription, and delete the personal information associated with it.
A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account should contact us at info@powersdigitalsolutions.com with “Minor Data Report” in the subject line. We will investigate promptly.
11. Cookies, Local Storage and Tracking
Dialed does not use cookies. Not for sign-in, not for analytics, not for advertising. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What Dialed does use is local storage in your own browser, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us as a tracking signal:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your sign-in session | localStorage | Keeps you signed in between visits. Cleared when you sign out. |
| A random visitor identifier | localStorage | So that one person retaking the free assessment is not counted as several different people. It is a random number. It is not linked to your name or email unless you subscribe. |
| Your assessment result | sessionStorage | Carries your result from the last question to the result screen. Gone when you close the tab. |
All three are created by Dialed itself and shared with nobody. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings; clearing the sign-in entry will simply sign you out.
Dialed uses no third-party advertising or behavioral cookies, cross-site trackers, pixels, beacons, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics.
One exception, and it is yours to trigger: library videos are embedded from YouTube and Vimeo. YouTube embeds use the youtube-nocookie.com domain specifically to avoid this. Playing a video contacts that provider directly and it may set its own storage, under its own policy.
12. Marketing and Communications
12.1 Service messages
Sign-in links, payment receipts, renewal and billing notices, and material changes to these policies. These are necessary to operate the Service and are not subject to marketing opt-out. To stop receiving them, close your account.
12.2 The weekly coaching email
Optional. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link and a List-Unsubscribe header, so your mail app's own unsubscribe button works too. Unsubscribing does not affect your subscription, your library, or anything you have marked.
You may also unsubscribe by emailing info@powersdigitalsolutions.com; we will action it within ten (10) business days, and usually the same day.
We do not sell or rent your email address.
12.3 Delivery and CAN-SPAM
Email is delivered through Resend (Section 6.3). Every message identifies Powers Digital Solutions as sender, carries a subject line that reflects its contents, includes our physical postal address, and — for anything other than a service message — a working unsubscribe mechanism.
13. Compliance with Applicable Laws
13.1 Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00
Regardless of the above, Dialed applies the safeguards described in Section 8, and will notify under M.G.L. c. 93H as described in Section 8.1.
13.2 COPPA
See Section 10. Dialed is an adults-only service, operates no portion directed to children, and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
13.3 CAN-SPAM Act
All commercial email complies with 15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.: accurate sender identification, a truthful subject line, a valid physical postal address, a working opt-out, and opt-outs honored within ten business days. Service messages — sign-in links, receipts, renewal notices and policy updates — are transactional and not commercial electronic messages under the Act.
13.4 CCPA / CalOPPA
CalOPPA: this Policy is posted and accessible to all users, and identifies the categories of information collected and the parties with whom it is shared.
CCPA, as amended by the CPRA. California residents have the right to know what is collected and why, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to equal service regardless of exercising any of these.
Dialed does not sell personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out mechanism for sale or sharing is therefore required, but we will honour any such request made in good faith. Exercise CCPA rights as described in Section 9.3.
13.5 GDPR — future applicability
Dialed operates solely within the United States and is not directed to residents of the EU, EEA or UK. The GDPR and UK GDPR do not currently apply.
If Dialed offers the Service to those residents in future, it will bring its operations into compliance first — including lawful bases under Article 6, data-subject rights mechanisms under Articles 12–22, appropriate transfer mechanisms, and the disclosures required by Articles 13 and 14 — and will update this Policy accordingly.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may amend this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, new legal requirements, or developments in the Service. Amendments are posted with an updated effective date.
A material change includes any amendment that alters what we collect, introduces a new purpose, changes who receives your information, modifies your rights, or affects the security measures in Section 8.
For material changes we will email registered users at least fourteen (14) days before the amended Policy takes effect, summarizing the change and linking to the full text. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may discontinue use and request deletion under Section 9 before it takes effect.
Non-material changes — typographical corrections, formatting — may be made without advance notice, with the effective date updated.
